Grem & Ajia
There, on that haunted ghostly night, Ajia and her newly accquainted boyfriend, Grem, walked through what they knew as the Halligan Cemetery, but what they did not know would.....kill them (SCREAM). Grem reached out for Ajia's hand, to show his loving character, but all of a sudden, blood blasted through Ajia's hand like juice from an orange. It blasted Grem back, as though pumpkins were being thrown at him; the terrifying event shocked Ajia as well, not feeling any pain. What seemed like so much blood...seemed like it could only fill up her small shoe. She watched her hand as blood spilled out, Grem out of sight; and suddenly, it stopped. Grem regained consiousness, and opened his eyes, realized he was leaning against a cold, hard, ridged rock. He looked behind him, and saw what he thought was a hallucination of vertigo...Ajia Nadler, 1994-2017, R.I.P my beloved--Grem. Grabbing anything he could find, he propped his body up, and attempted to clear his head. He looked around, skimming the cemetery like a clock; round and round and round. The love of his life was not there-and he knew the gravestone was lying. He panicked in fear and headed towards the entrance, holding his bloody arms crossed in his sweatshirt. The moon was full and shining, distracting Grem the path ahead. He tripped, and face-planted into the nearest gravestone. Minutes later, he glanced up...Grem Nadler, 1994-2017--R.I.P. my beloved- Ajia. Suddenly after, he was swormed into a black hole, unable to see, and floating in the air. Shutting his eyes, dreaming of his beloved wife, his hand was filled with the warmth of mist. Ajia, clothed in lacey white gowns floated with him; Grem now dressed in white. She guided him to their resting place, where five years ago today, they died together in Halligan's Cemetery. The evidence of how each of them died is unknown, but their has been some possible guesses...Some believe the love connection between Grem and Ajia was so powerful, their hands sparked what was their last night together, and some believe...Ajia killed Grem, to escape from the torture of reality. How did she know they would be together in the end? Was she evil...or not?

Birmingham Jail
1) "I think I should indicate why I am here in Birmingham, since you have been influenced by the view which argues against "outsiders coming in." He says he must explain himself in why he is here in the city, but they say he is an outsider coming in.
2) "You may well ask: "Why direct action? Why sit ins, marches, and so forth?" He is challenging the rules or the city, and they ask him why direct action?
3)"When you are forever fighting a degenerating sense of "nobodiness"--then you will understand why we find it difficult to wait. He says why blacks feel a sence of being a nobody, then they say why they are taking direct action now, instead of waiting.
4) In your statement you assert that our actions, even though peaceful, must be condemned because they precipitate violence. He says their actions are peaceful, and they say that they should be condemned for the precipitation of violence.
5) You speak of our activity in Birmingham as extreme. At first I was rather disappointed that fellow clergymen would see my nonviolent efforts as those of an extremist. He says he is disappointed in the clergy for looking at his peaceful efforts as violent, they say King and his followers are extremists.
6)"... I had hoped that each of you would understand. But again I have been dissapointed." He says he hopes the whites see the injustice of the current system, and they say in favor of "outright opponents, refusing to understand the freedom movement..."

Persuasive Template Activity
1) Animal testing, a form of enhancing new medicine and killing animals is often regarded by others as "our only way of developing medicine." They see animal testing as an efficient way of testing products on animals, instead of humans. However, many of these people just focus on the FDA's approval. On the contrary, many people are extremely against animal testing, because of the harm and killing of the animals. For the truth, the humane treatment of animals is necessary for the fairness and well-being of our fellow kind pets. In this essay, then, the testing on animals compared to the lab testing of non-living organisms will show that not testing on animals is clearly the much more humane and efficient was of developing new information.
2) In the introduction to "They Say/I Say": the Moves That Matter in Academic Writing, Gerald Graff and Cathy Birkenstein provide templates designed to help writers understand the way of providing both sides of the argument. Specifically, Graff and Birkenstein argue that the types of writing templates offer strict guidelines to showing off both sides of the argument. As the authors themselves put it, "presenting ideas from the other side, as a response to a person or group." Although some people believe that using these templates do not help, Graff and Birkenstein insist that using templates makes a load of a difference. In sum, then, their view is that using templates make writing a paper easier and faster. I agree. In my view, the types of templates that the authors recommend help tremendously in the efficient writing of papers. In addition, it is more organized and helps a reader understand each position. Some might object, of course, on the grounds that there is no creativity. Yet I would argue that each writer provides their own type of writing in unique ways. Overall, then, I believe templates should be used--an important point to make given a persuasive topic!
